This session is a part of the Caregiver University Series.

In this session, attendees will learn about the “GEMS states,” a tool for gauging progression of dementia, while also accounting for strengths and needs.  Care partners will learn ways to improve support at all levels. 

Using the GEMS model, people are seen as having value at all stages.  As Teepa Snow says, “with the right setting and the right care, any GEM can shine!”
